Sankranti time...back to back movies to watch n review...starts with darbar...rajini's movie n minerva masala dosa are the same..we know we are going to get the same old taste but still love it😋..however his combo with murugodoss definitely raised the expectation for a spl. Masala dosa.. and we r not disappointed👍. Director"s obsession with police,criminals, computer records, databases continues even in this (gajini, tupaki, 7th sense, spyder n now this..) i guess he might have failed in the physical fitness tests 🤸for IPS n now living that dream..Plot is not completely new though first half is very engaging( if one ignores the talaiva kindaa fights..😎😎.). For once the police force entirely supports their chief with no black sheep among them..daughter father sentiment works well, Nivedita is simple n sweet. Lovetrack with Nayantara is just for bringing more laughs,no thillaana thillaana songs🙈 and realistic dialogues abt his age ..that's something brave !..reminds amitabh role in cheenikum..one song in particular is cute with his mannerisms at best. second half is childish, looks like director became a gajini himself🤕..heights of cinematic liberty is Nivedita suffers a head injury, still with GCS of 15/15 (means completely oriented) is told that she has 2 hrs time and no attempt to treat her probably coz of no consent????...more realistic picture shld be neurosurgeon tries to operate without consent as no one available, she dies, and he's thrashed for negligence, hospital vandalised.😠😠..but that would have diverted hero's revenge ,hence she is allowed to record a statement also and peacefully dies in ICU on same bed besides her father...for once thankfully neurosurgeon spared!🤫..hero still giddy from his head injury denies help saying "hey, it's just a syncope"probably he checked on google ,why ask a doc?🤔..hero does too much gym to get his medical fitness certificate, probably no one told him it's given for 300 rupees in any hospital🤔...its a way to reassure fans that his health in real life is fine..we truly wish for that ..Climax is silly to say the least although villians were all good choice... all in all ,it's a talaiva spl "masala" dosa ...how can one ever say no to minerva coffee (dar)bar...go for it!

AR Murugudoss pulls off a amazing story with a combination of action, romance, comedy, emotion and mainly moral.
Anirudh's magical music and BGM in the movie keeps the movie running at a very quick pace.
Thalaivar's performance as usual top notch and the amount of effort he has put into dance, stunts and style at this age is really once again inspiring to watch!
The 1st half of the movie goes very quickly with power packed action with a combination of romance. As mentioned the BGM adds to the brilliant screenplay in the 1st half.
Cinematography is in the next level! All Thalaivar's scenes in slow motion with the BGM was a special treat to the fans!
Although 2nd half of the movie slows down due to the emotional scenes!
Nayantara's role seems to have a minor role but we all know her. She can pull off any role in the best level.
Cast to watch out for :
1. Rajni sir : Amazing effort and hatsoff to him as always! Pulling a role like Adithya Arunasalam is indeed a big job!
2. Nivedha Thomas : Luckiest female actress at this age for completing a film with both Kamal and Rajni sir! Her performance as the daughter of Rajni sir was absolutely amazing.
3. Sunil Shetty : Swag villian with that attitude perfectly matched his role!
Overall : Must watch movie for everyone and a Pongal Treat for Thalaivar Fans. FDFS DONE RIGHT! 🎆🔥
Darbar, definitely is a commercial blockbuster from Thalaivar.
FDFS tradition was kept up today and was worth it,right from the entry to the climax whistles were roaring and coins were floating in the air,each frame was set up to build up hype and mass for our Thalaivar,and his ever energetic and youthful enthusiasm carries forward the film.
Contrary to many of the audience responses the film actually has a very good plot with a strong father daughter sentiment.Nivetha Thomas has done a phenomenal job.
What could have been avoided is the very unrealistic fight sequences,they are over-hyped,and unacceptable even for Thalaivar veriyans,they could have been executed with the same mass and swag like petta subtly,but they go overboard and make it a cringe-fest.
Another thing that can be avoided is various close-up shots of Thalaivar,even though Thalaivar is a ever young superman, and age is just a number for him,the make-up is unable to withstand the close-ups.Or if close-ups are needed,then the make-up should be exceptionally good like they did in 2.0
THALAIVAR'S gymming sequence is out of the world.At 17 when most are reluctant to maintain a good physique,this man at 70 slays the screen with his body.Another huge shout out to Thalaivars acting,man!..this film mixed Shivaji's mass with Mullum Malarum's terrific acting.
Darbar is must watch in the theatres and Thalaivars veriyans will definitely be satisfied seeing Thalaivars mass performance!
If you all know that our Thalaivar has attained the age of 70 as per records, you are right. But by physique, agility, style, valour and appearance, you all should know he is just 30. In you recall Padayappa one of the greatest hits of Rajinikanth, there is a scene where seeing his physique Abbas use to exclaim. 20 years later you are sure to find even younger Thalaivar not only in physique but also in smile.
What a great performance. Single handedly in most scenes Thalaivar has made film a great success.
Donning a role of Commissioner, every scene is going with jet speed and nowhere any yawn.

Right from introduction to climax fighting scene he is omni present.
Story is not revealed for obvious reasons. Want readers to enjoy it in silver screen.
After Endiran, this is the film which has given his fans a sumptuous feast. Not that films like Kabali 2.0 and Petta were bad but this stands out in terms of show casing our Rajini at different level. Proud and pride it is to be his fan.
Not a single scene wasted on duets or any unwanted scenes. Story runs like sprint.
All others including his daughter have done their roles to perfection.
Back ground music of Annamalai during fight scenes makes it even more energetic.
Go and watch it with family. You are bound to enjoy it fully.
Thanks to director Murugadas who after 3 ordinary films has raised his bar. Of course Thalaivar made it happen.

Sankranti time...back to back movies to watch n review...starts with darbar...rajini's movie n minerva masala dosa are the same..we know we are going to get the same old taste but still love it😋..however his combo with murugodoss definitely raised the expectation for a spl. Masala dosa.. and we r not disappointed👍. Director"s obsession with police,criminals, computer records, databases continues even in this (gajini, tupaki, 7th sense, spyder n now this..) i guess he might have failed in the physical fitness tests 🤸for IPS n now living that dream..Plot is not completely new though first half is very engaging( if one ignores the talaiva kindaa fights..😎😎.). For once the police force entirely supports their chief with no black sheep among them..daughter father sentiment works well, Nivedita is simple n sweet. Lovetrack with Nayantara is just for bringing more laughs,no thillaana thillaana songs🙈 and realistic dialogues abt his age ..that's something brave !..reminds amitabh role in cheenikum..one song in particular is cute with his mannerisms at best. second half is childish, looks like director became a gajini himself🤕..heights of cinematic liberty is Nivedita suffers a head injury, still with GCS of 15/15 (means completely oriented) is told that she has 2 hrs time and no attempt to treat her probably coz of no consent????...more realistic picture shld be neurosurgeon tries to operate without consent as no one available, she dies, and he's thrashed for negligence, hospital vandalised.😠😠..but that would have diverted hero's revenge ,hence she is allowed to record a statement also and peacefully dies in ICU on same bed besides her father...for once thankfully neurosurgeon spared!🤫..hero still giddy from his head injury denies help saying "hey, it's just a syncope"probably he checked on google ,why ask a doc?🤔..hero does too much gym to get his medical fitness certificate, probably no one told him it's given for 300 rupees in any hospital🤔...its a way to reassure fans that his health in real life is fine..we truly wish for that ..Climax is silly to say the least although villians were all good choice... all in all ,it's a talaiva spl "masala" dosa ...how can one ever say no to minerva coffee (dar)bar...go for it!

AR Murugudoss pulls off a amazing story with a combination of action, romance, comedy, emotion and mainly moral.
Anirudh's magical music and BGM in the movie keeps the movie running at a very quick pace.
Thalaivar's performance as usual top notch and the amount of effort he has put into dance, stunts and style at this age is really once again inspiring to watch!
The 1st half of the movie goes very quickly with power packed action with a combination of romance. As mentioned the BGM adds to the brilliant screenplay in the 1st half.
Cinematography is in the next level! All Thalaivar's scenes in slow motion with the BGM was a special treat to the fans!
Although 2nd half of the movie slows down due to the emotional scenes!
Nayantara's role seems to have a minor role but we all know her. She can pull off any role in the best level.
Cast to watch out for :
1. Rajni sir : Amazing effort and hatsoff to him as always! Pulling a role like Adithya Arunasalam is indeed a big job!
2. Nivedha Thomas : Luckiest female actress at this age for completing a film with both Kamal and Rajni sir! Her performance as the daughter of Rajni sir was absolutely amazing.
3. Sunil Shetty : Swag villian with that attitude perfectly matched his role!
Overall : Must watch movie for everyone and a Pongal Treat for Thalaivar Fans. FDFS DONE RIGHT! 🎆🔥
Darbar, definitely is a commercial blockbuster from Thalaivar.
FDFS tradition was kept up today and was worth it,right from the entry to the climax whistles were roaring and coins were floating in the air,each frame was set up to build up hype and mass for our Thalaivar,and his ever energetic and youthful enthusiasm carries forward the film.
Contrary to many of the audience responses the film actually has a very good plot with a strong father daughter sentiment.Nivetha Thomas has done a phenomenal job.
What could have been avoided is the very unrealistic fight sequences,they are over-hyped,and unacceptable even for Thalaivar veriyans,they could have been executed with the same mass and swag like petta subtly,but they go overboard and make it a cringe-fest.
Another thing that can be avoided is various close-up shots of Thalaivar,even though Thalaivar is a ever young superman, and age is just a number for him,the make-up is unable to withstand the close-ups.Or if close-ups are needed,then the make-up should be exceptionally good like they did in 2.0
THALAIVAR'S gymming sequence is out of the world.At 17 when most are reluctant to maintain a good physique,this man at 70 slays the screen with his body.Another huge shout out to Thalaivars acting,man!..this film mixed Shivaji's mass with Mullum Malarum's terrific acting.
Darbar is must watch in the theatres and Thalaivars veriyans will definitely be satisfied seeing Thalaivars mass performance!
If you all know that our Thalaivar has attained the age of 70 as per records, you are right. But by physique, agility, style, valour and appearance, you all should know he is just 30. In you recall Padayappa one of the greatest hits of Rajinikanth, there is a scene where seeing his physique Abbas use to exclaim. 20 years later you are sure to find even younger Thalaivar not only in physique but also in smile.
What a great performance. Single handedly in most scenes Thalaivar has made film a great success.
Donning a role of Commissioner, every scene is going with jet speed and nowhere any yawn.
Rajini Rajini and Rajini.
Right from introduction to climax fighting scene he is omni present.
Story is not revealed for obvious reasons. Want readers to enjoy it in silver screen.
After Endiran, this is the film which has given his fans a sumptuous feast. Not that films like Kabali 2.0 and Petta were bad but this stands out in terms of show casing our Rajini at different level. Proud and pride it is to be his fan.
Not a single scene wasted on duets or any unwanted scenes. Story runs like sprint.
All others including his daughter have done their roles to perfection.
Back ground music of Annamalai during fight scenes makes it even more energetic.
Go and watch it with family. You are bound to enjoy it fully.
Thanks to director Murugadas who after 3 ordinary films has raised his bar. Of course Thalaivar made it happen.

Movie starts with typical superstar action sequences and flows through interestingly till the end. For audience not aware of movies original version in Malayalam it will be a nice thriller, very unnatural for a Rajini movie.
Rajini has done a great job in mixing all elements. Vadivelu role is commendable. Even though Jyotika has done a reasonable job, her overacting was evident in some scenes. P.Vasu did okay by not screwing up Fazil's work in "Manichitrathalu".
In summary hardcore fans might be disappointed by not hearing any punch lines but nice pace keeps the movie rolling. It's sure to get a lot of appreciation from varied group of audience.
When the movie hit the screens, Rajnikant himself was not sure if it will become a hit. By any standards, this was something unusual. Rajni's movies - even if they are crap - usually runs for 100 days. There was a reason why everone was so anxious about this movie. 1. Rajni's earlier movie, BABA, was a FLOP. (Though i loved it.) 2. This was a remake of the Malayalam hit movie, Manichitrathazh. 3. This did not have any of Rajni's stunts. (that which generally portrays him as a demi God with supernatural fight scenes and punch dialogues)
Honestly, it was exciting to see Rajinikanth showing his acting talents in a controlled manner. His screen presence was simply amazing.
Good Movie, but it lacks the reality in the Malayalam Original "Manichitrathazhu". Mohanlal's acting deserves special credibility. Rajni manages without his cigars very well.
The lighting effects prove stupendous & innovative. Foot tapping numbers by Vidyasagar. But the dry & double meaning comedy lets the film down.
One question, Why is the Huge Python creeping there for in there for? the creepy house sequences are well done. Jyothika is the star performer here, she did very well in the dancing sequences & in the face reactions. But i think Ramya Krishnan would be a better choice for the role of Ganga.
Overall good one & worth the money.
I saw this film on the first day of it's release in India. Actually, before seeing the film, I knew that this is the remake of the malayalam classic 'Manichitrathaazh'. But Since RajniKanth is in this movie, I knew that it would be formatted according to please his fans. The film was exactly like what I thought. Action scenes and comedy scenes were 'pushed in' to please the fans of Rajni which hinder the pace of the film. Yeah, Jyothika has done really well, but when u compare it with the original malayalam film , Chandramukhi is awfully short of resources. Rajni has a heavy makeup smeared all over his face for many scenes in this film. My one line advice to people who want to watch this flick is : Don't expect too much in this copycat version of the malayalam film.
Excellent story, with excellent performance by Super Star and Jothika. Introduction of Super Star is the best. Songs are very nice, especially Devuda Devuda, Athinthom and Raa Raa.. Rajini's comedy scenes with vadivelu are really good. Yet, could have avoided few double meaning dialogues The first fight from Super Star is excellent!!! The "lakalakalaka" from Thalaivar is excellent!! I am seeing "Mannan's" "Sandi Raniye" rajini again!!! Jothika steals the show during the last 15 minutes. That too Jo's reaction after the song when she fires "Vettaiyan" King is superb!!! I didn't like Nasar slapping Thalaivar for unnecessary reasons. It does not fit into the story as well Overall, the movie is Excellent for Super Star Fans and general public.

If we talk about Chandramukhi, however hit it becomes yet it cannot meet the levels of manichitrathazhu. The scenes in this movie deviates a lot from the original script. This movie also includes some unwanted characters (Sonu Sood) whose appearance is still a mystery for me. The movie is full pack of entertainment yet a lot of deviations from original story and concept is observed. One more thing about this movie that amaze me always is the scenes showing that huge snake, actually which made no sense. At the end of the movie they show snake moving out of the room thus showing that it is no longer haunted. 🤣🤣 Actually movie was all about split personality disorder which had nothing to do with snake and ghosts..well that's my personal opinion...still no regret , one time watch.
Very nice & spectacular movie... The actors in the movie had showed their best and most interesting here is when the superstar Rajini finds out the Chandramukhi,the way he finds, and the character he had involved,making fun with Kailash family members especially with Vadivelu 😂😂 ,the dialogues in different parts of film,action,love and etc are entirely an outstanding one.....

This was a copy cat of Malayalam superhit movie "Manichitrathazhu". One who is watching this or hearing this story for the first time will be surprised. But the characters played by evergreen actors like Mohanlal, Shobana, Suresh Gopi, Nedumudi, Innocent, Pappu, Ganesh Kumar, KPSC are the best and memorable. This commerical remake cannot even compared with the original and it's only for showing Rajini mass and that way to collect the money. This remake is not even worth the BGM in the actual movie.
This movie is one of the great movie in tamil cinema history. Joythika's acting is excellent in this movie. Rajni proved his value in this movie after baba movie flop. Rajni vadivel combo is really superb. Nayantara and prabhu do their best in this movie.

Chandramukhi is a fantastic movie to learn some thing which we doesn't happen or doesn't knew beforehand....I like to tell to get more information about chandramukhi and let us know what chandramukhi will do..can we have knowledge of Chandramukhi dance...why she will involve with every dancer...
